Dutrieu’s bicycle acts already left the ground
Belgian cyclist Hélène Dutrieu moved from racing to stunt performance. In 1903 she rode a vertical loop and developed a bicycle jump of about fifteen metres. She later obtained an aircraft pilot’s licence in 1910.
Her aviation career followed an already unusual cycling career.
