The sunken battleship stood bow-down in the seabed

HMS Victoria sank after colliding with another British ship during manoeuvres off Lebanon in 1893, with heavy loss of life. Discovered in 2004, the wreck stood vertically, its bow buried in mud and its stern pointing towards the surface.

A wreck need not lie horizontally on the seabed.
