A leaf-like disguiseSourced
Even the notches resemble a decaying leaf
Madagascar’s Uroplatus phantasticus gecko has a flattened, leaf-like tail. Some individuals have notches that make it resemble a decaying leaf. Its appearance helps it blend into its forest surroundings, and it is active at night.
The resemblance extends to an imperfect leaf, rather than an ideal outline.
