A Japanese comic about Polish history
became a publishing first in Poland.
Riyoko Ikeda's Ten no Hate Made tells the story of Polish prince Józef Poniatowski. Published in Japan from 1991, it reached Poland in 1996–97. It was not the first manga printed there, but is recognized as the first published with the rights holder's permission.
A story crossing borders
also marked a copyright first.
