A town rebuilt under a new nameSourced
After rebellion damaged a Javanese town, it reappeared on the map as Bojonegoro.
Rajekwesi was a base during Sasradilaga's 1827–1828 rebellion in Java. The rebel commander lost it in February 1828. As the town was rebuilt after the fighting, colonial authorities approved its renaming to Bojonegoro that September.
The aftermath changed both the town and its name.
