A truck with legsSourced

The experimental vehicle walked on four legs

General Electric created an experimental four-legged Walking Truck in 1965. An operator inside used hand and foot movements to control the hydraulic legs. It was intended to carry equipment over rough terrain, but controlling it was exhausting. A truck did not have to be imagined with wheels.

The driver’s movements became the machine’s steps.
