A disc in the riverSourced
River ice can turn like an enormous round record
In January 2019, an ice disc roughly 91 metres wide appeared on a river in Westbrook, Maine. Slowly rotating circles of ice are a natural phenomenon found in cold climates. They are distinct from ice carousels deliberately cut by people.
The river had produced its own revolving disc.
