A crustacean inside a sea star
Dendrogaster is a genus of crustaceans that parasitise the internal body cavity of sea stars. Members occur across a wide range of depths and in different sea-star families. Crustacean life extends well beyond the familiar shrimp-and-crab image.
A star-shaped body can contain another animal’s world.
