In 1985, San Diego Zoo orangutan Ken Allen repeatedly escaped from his enclosure. During escapes he strolled around the grounds and looked at other animals. His exploits made him famous enough for a fan club and T-shirts.
Outside the enclosure, he sometimes became the visitor.
