A small sea animal builds a house over a metre across

Giant larvaceans in the genus Bathochordaeus are around 3–10 centimetres long, but their mucus houses can exceed a metre in diameter. These free-swimming animals filter tiny organic particles from seawater for food. Much of the apparent size belongs to the mucus house.

A large home surrounds a comparatively small occupant.
