Passing on one trackSourced
To pass, they lifted a vehicle off the rails
Cambodia’s norry was a simple rail vehicle, often fitted with bamboo decking. When two met on a single track, the one with the lighter load was lifted off the rails to let the other pass. Vehicles were also lifted and turned at the end of the line.
The vehicle itself could be moved aside to make room.
