A survivor described Titanic’s sinking on Titanic-headed paper

After surviving Titanic in 1912, Japanese passenger Masabumi Hosono wrote an account in Japanese aboard the rescue ship Carpathia. He used Titanic-headed stationery still in his coat pocket. He had previously begun an English letter to his wife on the paper.

Paper intended for a letter home became a record of the ship’s last night.
